AND IT'S TO THE POINT TO WHERE WE, WE REALLY CAN'T DO ANY MORE MAINTENANCE ON IT.

IT'S, WE'VE, WE'VE DONE EVERYTHING THAT WE COULD DO TO THIS POINT.

AND IT'S GETTING TO THE POINT TO WHERE WE NEED TO START LOOKING AT POSSIBLE REHABILITATION OR REPLACEMENT.

UH, THE FINAL EFFLUENT TREATMENT COST IS GOING UP, UH, TO TRY TO KEEP UP WITH THE PROCESS TO MAKE SURE THAT WE'RE MEETING OUR TCQ, UH, REQUIREMENTS.

SO FAR SINCE WE'VE BEEN HERE WITHIN LIKE THE LAST FIVE YEARS, I THINK WE SPENT WELL OVER $350,000 ON MAINTENANCE, UH, FOR THE TRAVELING BRIDGE, WHICH IS ABOUT A THIRD OF THE COST OF THE REHABILITATION COSTS OF THIS TRAVELING BRIDGE.

THERE'S ALSO SAFETY CONCERNS, UH, ROTTING, TROUGHS.

WHEN THE GUYS ARE OUT THERE CLEANING THE CLARIFIERS, UH, THAT'S AN ISSUE.

UH, THERE'S A POSSIBILITY THAT THEY CAN FALL THROUGH THE TROUGH AND POSSIBLY DROWN GET INFECTED WITH SOME TYPE OF MICROORGANISM.

AND THEN WE HAVE, YOU KNOW, UH, SOME, SOME REAL DIRE ISSUES, UH, THAT WE'LL BE DEALING WITH, UH, THERE'S ROTTING, WEIRS, UH, THAT, UH, ARE BECOMING A SAFETY HAZARDS AS, AS THEY'RE RIDING OFF THEIR SHARP EDGES, THAT THE GUYS CAN GET HUNG UP ON AND CUT THEMSELVES WHILE THEY'RE CLEANING THE CLARIFIERS.

A RAGED CONSTRUCTION, UH, CAME OUT AND GAVE A COST FOR CONVENTIONAL, A CIRCULAR ABOVE GROUND CLARIFIER THAT COST ESTIMATE COME IN SOMEWHERE AROUND 1.5, $1.89, WHICH IS A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF MONEY TO REBUILD AND PUT IN A NEW CLARIFICATION PROCESS.

SO WE MET WITH THE VIVO IN HRM, ENVIRONMENTAL.

THEY'RE SITTING HERE IN THE BACK AND WISH THEY PRESENTED A REHABILITATION OPPORTUNITY, UH, WITH AN ESTIMATED COST OF ABOUT $800,000, WHICH IS SUBSTANTIALLY LESS, UH, AND THE SYSTEM KEEPS THE CURRENT PROCESS THE SAME.

UH, SO IT'S, IT'S REALLY NOT A WHOLE LOT OF, UH, UH, DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY THAT THE TRAVELING BRIDGE IS CURRENTLY CONSTRUCTED.

UH, JUST DIFFERENT MOVING PIECES, UH, MORE TECHNOLOGY, UH, INVOLVED, UH, COMPONENTS, UH, WHICH WILL GIVE THE CITY MORE LONGEVITY, UH, WITH THIS NEW SYSTEM.

NOW, WHEN YOU HAVE UNEQUAL FLOW DISTRIBUTION, LIKE THAT BAD ACTUALLY INCREASES THE VELOCITY THROUGH THOSE V NOTCHES, AND YOU GET A HIGHER EFFLUENT SUSPENDED SOLIDS, WHICH IS A POORER EFFLUENT QUALITY.

ALSO, IF YOU LOOK ON THE SURFACE, STOP IT RIGHT THERE IN BETWEEN THE SCUMBAG EFL AND THE WEIRD YOU CAN SEE FOLDABLES, YOU CAN SEE DUCKWEED, UM, ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS COMBAT, WELL, YOU CAN SEE SCUM NOW, SCUM RISES TO THE SURFACE AND YOUR SKIMMER WORKS TO THE SCUMBAG LEVEL.

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE SPACE IN BETWEEN THE SCUM BAFFLE AND THE WEIRD, THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN GET SCUM INFILTRATION, WHICH ALSO CONTRIBUTES TO YOUR EFFLUENT.

THE SEL CLARIFIER HAD 1.7 MILLIGRAM PER LITER.
